Thinking Publications sold to Super Duper Publications
Twenty-five years ago Thinking Publications was born with one book that was heralded soon thereafter for being filled with innovative ideas for speech-language pathologists. The company was the brain-child of Nancy and Mike McKinley and flourished in its niche market, growing into a multi-million dollar publishing house.
Nancy passed away in 2005, but her legacy will live on. Mike became more involved in the day-to-day operations, but without Nancy as his partner, and with his own business to oversee, he found that he could not do justice to the publishing company. In June 2006, Super Duper Publications, a friendly competitor of Thinking Publications, purchased the company and integrated it into their organization.
Even though this has been a huge and sometimes difficult change, Mike knows that the quality products Thinking Publications developed will continue to have incredible influence in the speech-language-hearing profession.
